Hello!
Thank you for visiting my profile. My activities on 7Cups are currently rather limited as I am taking a much-needed self-care break. I do check in and respond to messages on a weekly basis, however.
I am a human services professional with almost 20 years of experience working with school-aged children on up. I have a Master's degree in Counselling and am working towards my Psy D. I am a social justice advocate, an ally to LGBTQ+ individuals, and do not assume to be an expert in your experience. I am particularly interested in exploring issues related to health psychology, including: intuitive eating, body acceptance, health at every size, age acceptance, psycho-oncology, and palliative care.
I am a survivor of many of life's tragedies, including grief, loss, trauma, and abuse, but I'm lucky that my journey through life has brought me to a good place. I am open-minded and non-judgmental, which means I am comfortable discussing difficult and taboo issues, including complex sexual problems; however, there is a difference between seeking help for sensitive topics and being abusive or exploiting a listener's presence. My only request is that members and guests be mindful of how they engage with me, and be respectful my boundaries and my time.
