Bio
I love meeting new people; I think everyone has a story to tell.
We should all listen sometimes. When you really listen to another person from their point of view, and reflect back to them that understanding, it's like giving them emotional oxygen.
If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive.
This is important to me: getting to know people, listening, expanding the circle of ideas. Offering my opinion. The world is crisscrossed by roads that come closer together and move apart, but the important thing is that they lead towards good.
The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them.
There is only one problem with dealing with someone who is actually a good listener. They don’t jump in on your sentences, saving you from actually finishing them, or talk over you, allowing what you do manage to get out to be lost or altered in transit. Instead, they wait, so you have to keep going.
