...See more Hi everyone, So I recently just found 7 Cups and started my journey as a Listener and I just wanted to take some time to type this up since I think that it's important. I have experienced trauma myself, so please know that I understand you. Just being someone who has experienced trauma is lonely. I just want you all to know that you aren't alone because I really do understand you. I know it's so hard to talk about it to people who haven't expereinced it. You can tell people, but it's not the same since it DID happen to you. People usually say "wow I can't believe that happened to you, or I'm sorry it happened too you;" trust me I've heard it all. They don't understand how small things could trigger your memories of the trauma again. I completely understand how you feel. With that, I know how good it feels to be able to talk about trauma with someone who has experienced it. To just have someone listen and understand exactly how you feel. It makes you feel like you weren't the only one, that there are others out there who understand and that you are heard. I hear you. I'm here for you. So if you ever just want to talk to someone who shares the same feelings that you have about it, then feel free to reach out to me. It's sad that trauma isn't a normal topic we can speak out loud about to the people around you, but I hope that even just chatting here helps you cope a bit. Trauma isn't something that is easy to get over like everyone thinks. It takes time, and I can attest to that. Sometimes if affects you more than you first realized, and sometimes you just want someone to talk to. Again, I'm here for you all!
