When my grandmother died, a story was read at her funeral: a girl was standing on a beach full of thousands of starfish, throwing them into the ocean one by one. A man stopped and asked her why she bothered, as she couldn't make a difference. She threw a starfish to the water and said "it made a difference to that one." Be my starfish.
