Hello friend, I would love to hear from you about how you are doing. I've spent many years learing about coping with anxiety, depression, homophobia and forgiveness. I'm an artist, healer, and counselor. I work as a mental health rehabilitation specialist and completing masters in social work at a local university. I hope some of my experiences may be helpful for understandng what you are going through in your own life.

Very supportive
This listener has an intuitive understanding of how to deal with people. In my case, he quickly realized that I didn't want to talk about the specific issues that had me stressed out, & after putting out a few gentle feelers, he slid very professionally into a "let's talk and see what might come up," mode. I didn't feel pressured to "bare my soul," but knew he'd be there if I chose to. Seems to me that's pretty much the definition of a perfect listener.
