...See more Hi, I'm 23 years old and I might have endometrial cancer. It's a cancer that usually affects older women. I want to share my anxieties, but also raise some awareness. *Trigger warning* *Cancer talk and risk Factors* If you have been experiencing heavy periods or prolonged periods, and/or Also pain during intercourse. You should go to obgyn and tell them what's going on. You don't have to have any pelvic pain to be at risk. Obesity and never bearing a child are also risk factors. And yes it can be genetic. The good thing is if caught early, they say it's highly curable. *Trigger warning* *Now my anxieties* *Cancer and biopsy* I have to get an biopsy in January for endometrial cancer and I'm scared as H. I shouldn't be so worried because it has a good survival rate. But cancer is cancer and it's serious. The doctors can't see what else it could be other than cancer and that's scary. I've been doing alot of research and some say the biopsy is really painful and other says it's just like a bad period cramp. I'm not sure if I'll be able to tell the people closest to me that I have cancer. I'm not sure how they will take it. Especially because most of my family is in a different state and would want to be there for me, but most likely can't. My last concern is that I've been experiencing painful intercourse for a while and thought it was normal. And I could have had cancer all that time and didn't know it. I'm scared about how far it might has spreaded. Even though I heard it's a slow spreading cancer. Anyways those are my worries, I know its alot but it feels better to let it out.
