Struggling to balance depression and anxiety with working part time and putting a pause on college due to the pandemic. Oh and living with a homophobic conservative family that forces me to hide most of myself.

...See more TW: mentions of self harm Lately Ive noticed my brain supplying more and more intrusive thoughts and its gotten to the point Ive had to leave work this weekend and last weekend. Since I only work Friday/Saturday/Sunday Im sure this is going to make management mad at me but how do I casually explain to them that I want to use the utility knife ( mandatory with the apron at work ) and peel myself like a god damn orange. Or that the sometimes I can hear everything including everyones breathing and the sound of the air and its so overwhelming I get irritable or go straight into a panic. With covid it seems everyones saying ‘take care of your mental health but they continue to forget some of us have been struggling long before this shutdown
