...See more Hello lovely 7Cups community! I don't know how many of you will remember this but back in April, I began something called the Community Mod Awards. The community mods awards was a fun way of appreciating the amazing work that the community moderators do for us on 7Cups. When you read through the different nominees for the awards, you might notice that there are some nominations for community moderators who are no longer around on 7Cups but (Link, Taylor, Mae and Sage) but I have chosen to mention their nominations for the sake of respect for the work that they put in during their time on here. Some of the name of the categories for awards are funny and some are more sensible. These ideas were inspired by an amazing group of teens during a conversation in one of the group support rooms. There were 16 categories that you could nominate between 1 and 3 community moderators for. You will notice that the amount of votes for each category is different but this is because some users voted for more than 1 community moderator or not at all. To not spam each post with massive paragraphs, I will be dedicating each post on this thread to 4 different categories. I will announce the winner, 2nd place and mentions for other community moderators who were nominated.
An Idea to Support Hosts

...See more Hi everyone, The idea that I have is to have support in place for hosts who have had a difficult session to avoid burnouts even if it is cute animal photos, self help techniques or just somewhere to vent or a log about anything that might have happened in a session. I know that there is peer support for listeners who have had a difficult chat so it would be a good idea for something similar to be available to sharing circle/healthy habits/discussion hosts. From personal experience and experiences of other hosts, hosting sessions especially when the topics bought up (particularly in sharing circle) can be really heavy and support needs to be put into place to avoid hosts dropping out. I know that members cannot PM members though but I think that there should maybe be regular check in sessions for hosts to give peer support in one of the rooms and to maybe have someone around during the sharing circles, healthy habits sessions and discussions to give 1-2-1 support if needed. I have already bought this up with hopebeyondpain and they are going to take the suggestion to the community managers so maybe something can actually be done about it. Please feel free to share feedback on this idea. ...See more Teenie land users have been working very hard together in the Teen Community Room to write this story and we would like to dedicate it especially to CommunityModJennie *crowd awws* Once upon a time there was a community mod. That community mod left us suddenly.🥺Leaving us to make themselves a sandwich...And then going to check on the naughty oldies. Feeling tired in the process, so he/she went to sleep The oldies were naughty and smelt really bad so the smell sent Jennie to sleep 😈 The mod came back to see the teenies because they were being extra naughty. The teenies were only acting up because they missed Jennie and wanted hugs. The teenies asked Jennie "were you making yourself a sandwich, trying not to suffocate with the smell of the oldies, sleeping or lurking." And then the teenies started singing "Jingle bells. Oldies smell. Jennie fell asleep. Oh what fun it is to make a story on 7Cups." Then Jennie realised how appreciated she is on 7Cups especially by her little teenies so she burst into tears but these tears were of joy. She promised to not just suddenly leave the teenies again. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🍓 Ps: Oldies- The teenies are sorry for anything offensive. Another Ps: Not sorry

...See more Hi everyone! Before you ask, The X-Plan is not a new film that has been released on DVD! This is actually serious and I would like everyone to read this carefully and pass it onto your family and friends so they know about it as well. I learnt about this at school and it came up in a conversation with my mum. Now we use this plan but have not had to use it yet. The X-Plan is a safe method of getting out of a situation where you are unsafe or under pressure to do something which is making you uncomfortable. You text the letter X to your parents, guardian or an older sibling. The person who receives the text has a script to follow. Reciever: Hello, something has come up at home and I am going to come and collect you. Sender: What happened? Reciever: I will explain it to you when I arrive. Get ready to leave in 10 minutes. This makes the person who the sender (person who sent the letter X) has an emergency at home and has to go. This is a safer method than trying to text someone that you are in danger because the person who is pressuring or harming you might take your phone and see what you have done. If they see that you just texted the letter X, they will think that it is innocent and just a reply to a previous text. When the person who receives the text arrives to collect the person who sent the text, they must not ask any questions to them or expect them to say anything unless they decide to share what happened.
