...See more Hi everyone, I'm a 31 year old female who is feeling exhausted and rundown. I've been dealing with so much stress for so long that I don't even know how to untangle myself from it anymore. My husband has a chronic illness so I am the primary working partner. I don't find my work interesting or fulfilling but I put a lot of effort into it because it is a good job that provides good benefits (but much money). I have been dealing with a lot of change and stress over the last five years or so (meeting/marrying my spouse, a number of job promotions, buying our first home, family issues, his health issues, etc.) and I have gotten to the point where I am so mentally and physically exhausted at the end of the day that it's hard for me to be functional. When I come home I numb out with food and take naps. I find it hard to keep on top of chores. My binge/compulsive eating, which I have dealt with since I was a kid, has gone completely off the rails and I have become obese. I feel like I carry all of the responsibilties in our family and there is no end in sight since my husband is so sick that he is unable to work right now. I feel worn out, broken down and like I want to crawl into a hole. I've been working since I was 14 without a break. All I want is some time to take a breather and focus on healing myself, but unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon. Thanks for listening, I look forward to meeting you all. It feels good to find a place to talk. - Katherine
