Confusion

...See more My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year and honestly everything has been great. Some rough patches we had were me not getting along with his friends, but a month ago i sat down with him and let him know that I was willing to sit with his friends and come to a mutual agreement and to get to know them better. He works full time and is going to school and so am i. He did seem concern about spending time but i said we can always spend our time on the weekends since we dont work and we can focus on studying. Yesterday he asked me a question that really broke my heart. How would you feel if I said I wanted to stay the way we are but as friends he also said that he loved doing things together and I told him thats what couples also do so I was confused. He said he wasnt feeling confident that he was going to make me happy and that he was scared to lose and hurt me. This made me ven more confused because even though were both busy Im still so happy with him. He was talking about how he felt that my family was like his and he was scared to lose it and that he didnt know what he wanted. I told him that I was proud of everything he was doing for himself and that I am absolutely happy with him and how much I trust and have confidence in him. I knew he needed time to think, it hadnt been 24 hours and I cant help but just think of the worst. He said he still wants to text like usual and its making me more confused I dont wanna get my hopes up. I absolutely love him.
