Daughter of a Narcissist Mother

...See more Yes, the title says it all. A few months ago we moved out of state. But before we moved I made the mistake of mentioning it to my controlling, mentally and verbally abusive, and self absorbed mother. Now I’m the only daughter, the oldest and have 3 younger brothers. One of my mothers main issues is being Sexist, for the most part she hates women and kiss asses men. So in such she has treated my brothers more favorable. So now, She living in a completely different state all of a sudden wants to move to where we would live. She has a lot of health issues, controlling issues, and a lot of pride. She wanted us to take on the responsibility of helping her move and take care of her but all while she tried to control us with money. Basically, bribing us with money help, all while controlling how that money would be spent…in exchange she would not admit she needs help with everything. She has severe diabetes, has trouble walking, legally farsighted blind, can’t drive, and has to pee every 20 min because she let her insulin lapse in taking it regularly over the past 3 years. Well at first my husband and I agreed to help my mother, we encouraged her to list her house and said we would try to find her a place near us. But she got coveting our plans of building a house and then she started to want to be on our little bit of land. Now at first I thought, ok she wants to live with us but that was not the case. She wanted us to do all the work in funding the loan of land and mortgage and then she wanted to buy the rest of the land for pennies on the dollar so she could give it to my brothers. I should have said “No” then. But it continues.. She listed her house but then ended up in the hospital with an opened wound on her foot that had gangrene because of not taking her diabetes insulin regularly. Well the doctors had to do surgery and mentioned it looked pretty bad and that he may have to remove her toe. She said, “Absolutely Not!” And they said they would do their best but said what was more concerning is that she has an infection in her blood from the gangrene. Well to make this worst, she woke up from surgery and the doctors had to tell her that they had to remove her toe. So after they left the hospital room, she got mad and fell out of a recliner in her hospital room and broke her hip. (Yup, you’re thinking “geez she self destructive!” Yes, she is.) So the very next day, back into surgery she went. This time they had to bring in another specialist to fix her hip. She woke up from that surgery and it’s been a nightmare with her negative and mean attitude ever since. You think I’d feel sorry for her but let me tell you, it’s hard to feel sorry for someone who complains about everything and everyone, treats people like crap, especially her children and then expects to be treated like royalty, or at least demands respect because she has the title of mother.
