...See more You won't be judged here. People will engage and ask you question. Talk about your experiences. But we can come together to talk about how to get through hurdles too. You won't be criticized or shoved. [UNLESS! You like that kind of support.] Be courteous of each other's triggers. And communicate in a complete format! EXAMPLE: A. That is triggering me! B. Can you explain so I know what to do? A. References to "that" can cause me to have flashbacks. B. Okay! I'm sorry!! I won't mention "that"! What do you need right now? A. Space... B. Copy that! Thank you for telling me! A. Thank you for asking.

...See more Many people may not understand what you're going through but that doesn't mean Noone Will! We understand the isolation felt and in some cases inflicted upon us by others. Your triggers are normal and should be respected as no different then someone having a fever or a cold. Meaning it isn't something a person can help. But it is something they have to deal with. People may try and hit you with the " Your triggers are your responsibility " shitck... but they don't actually know what that means. You are already taking responsibility for your triggers by acknowledgement that it is something you have to contend with. While figuring out what works best for you in this regard. There will be bumps and stalls. It's okay. Pause, rest... and keep going. Don't over extend yourself or push yourself to the point if getting sicker. If you are feeling pressured to do so by ANYONE. Be it work, loved ones, bullies, or abusive people; it isn't your fault. Say it again. It is not your fault. But realiser that what they are expecting from you comes from a place where your health is subject to whatever they might want out of you. Or they genuinely think they are being helpful; while not fully understanding that ptsd/c-ptsd is an injury. Not a mental health condition. And treating it doesn't work quite the same way. You can do it. You can take a breath. Sigh. Swear. Look at yourself in the mirror. See your worth. You got this.
