Hi, my name's Nikki, and I've started here because I'm struggling a bit with my depression, among other things. I like the ocean, the forest, cartoons and video games! I overthink everything, and sometimes that gives me positive insight, other times not so much. I'm sorry if I can get a bit confusing... Anyhoo, I hope everyone and everything can get better someday!

...See more Lately I've noticed ever since I've gotten Ritalin to help with my ADD, although it happens on occasion other times, I feel fine for a while...but then my mind starts racing and I feel all shaky and I can't focus on stilling myself (e.g playing piano, even typing this is awkward) and it feels really quick and I feel I can't talk. I'm not sure if this is an anxiety attack, although I am prone to those, it gets me in a real frenzy. Usually to fix it, I'll try and do something 'mind numbing' like play an easy game, nap, or do some work that doesn't need much thought. I also notice that the activity I'm 'failing' in gets me thinking about it, but not doing anything about it, if that makes sense? e.g if I'm playing piano, I'll think too much about freaking out, or that I'm not good, etc. It feels like an anxiety attack, but there's no actual threat, so I try to just take things slower... If you experience something similar, I'd like to ask! 1) How does it feel? 2) How long does it go for/ how common is it? 3) What are some notable causes of it? 4) What are some strategies you use to get through it? Thank you for your time, I'll try to investigate and post my findings!
