...See more Happy Birthday @Macylou82 !! I told you that you had lots to expect lol. Here's a poem, dedicated just to you.  Allow me to weave a shield, of hope and happiness and life. To shroud you in its protection, against this hateful world  which have embalmed you  in its distasteful essence. Must I remind you the relevance of your words? Our paths have intertwined further than to be described, just as how your existence can no longer be written in simplicity.   I am expressing this to the you, 14 hours apart, the you, that had humoured me, the you, I always see online, the you, I failed to comfort, and  the you, not yet seen by me. The alphabet you took on, and moulded into legible messages, has made me smile, laugh, cry, hold on to life itself, when you could have chosen otherwise. You are compassion. I hope you can receive this little piece of affection from the me behind a keyboard that can do nothing but type, write, draft with my full devotion. You are entitled to  so much more than I can give, but still: I profess my warmest, utmost, 'Happy Birthday'. Even if the path ahead might not be ideal or what you want, I'll always be here, and of course, encourage you to hold on, because surely Earth cannot miss out on this amazing person which have lightened up so many chats in chatrooms! ...See more This is an appreciation post/ poem to all of my friends on here... Would an 'I love you' be uncanny? For a simple 'I know you' doesn't quite convey the sentiment: my unsaid words, my mirth, or my smile you have never seen. It doesn't matter to me if you're scorned upon by others or detached from society. It doesn't matter if the world is against you, Because I can see that inherit goodness in you. Every trait that beams and glimmers is reflected through  printed, emotionless texts on a screen. Is that not a solid enough proof? You are kindness and everything within. I shall scavenge for every piece of evidence and testify in every court known in mankind. To prove your innocence. (And if only I can forage for every one of you that had ended in a 'user not found'...) I have called myself fortunate to be born in a family of sufficient wealth. I have told myself favoured to be given numerous resources and chances. Perhaps now, I can recognise myself blessed to have met every one of your loving souls. Before you finish this relentless rant of mine, I'd like to remind you of your importance in this world. You have already  engraved an impeccable mark into my character, my soul, my life. Do not, ever, overlook your presence. It is a solace and it is there for me to put my trust in, So I hope you find a piece of mind likewise. If you've gotten here, I'm really happy that you've decided to read till here (and you've got a lot more to read :P)  First off, thank you to @Macylou82, your poem inspired me to write this. And next, I'd like to tell all of you how much I appreciate you guys ^^ You're all 100% awesome in my eyes and I can't get over how many of you I've met throughout my journey in cups. I'm so so so grateful for your presence, and I really want to get that message across. This poem is written for you guys (even if some of you aren't here anymore), but hopefully you liked it.
