Suddenly a green shell slams into your side at an angle of 90 degrees to your direction of motion with a speed of 16 m/s. The entire speed of the shell is transfered to your kart(ignore effects such as resistance and energy loss). What would be your new speed in units of m/s? Leave your answer to 1 decimal place.
