...See more Does anyone on here have a fear of vomiting? I feel like I have this irrational feel of it, but if my child is throwing up, I get right in there and help. Of course, I do have anxiety through it, but I know that I need to get over it and stop worrying so much. Little backstory- when I was 6, my best friend has brain cancer. I didnt really understand what was going on at that point because I was so young. I went to see him in the hospital with my dad and I can remember every single detail. He vomited violently all over the bed and then the nurse called some code, and my dad and I were rushed out and then I never saw him again. For years, I didnt know what was wrong with me and why I was so afraid to vomit. Fast word 15 years, I went to see a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapist) after years of seeing a psychologist. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and PTSD. I never finished my therapy with the CBT but I did leave with some great coping mechanisms. On on Friday night, my 3- year old came down with the stomach flu and now my husband has a mild version. Its been awful, but Im so scared of the unknown. I try not to let it get the best of me, but sometimes it does. Does anyone have similar experiences?
