Personification of Issues

...See more I struggle with anxiety, and procrastination a lot. And it's been especially very difficult to deal with it lately, it leaves me empty and exhausted. One thing that I tried just for the sake of trying was personification of these issues. While endlessly scrolling one day, I just imagined that I have a person standing next to me, who is manipulating me to watch more reels, scroll more and telling me that five more minutes won't hurt. And in exchange of five minutes of instant dopamine, that person is causing me big consequences in future. Then I imagined sending them away, in a corner of my room, where I can't hear them or see them. I did the same with my anxiety, and the compulsive thoughts that come with it. I imagined a person leaning into my ears and whispering all those things, and my fear (also personified) is holding anxiety's hands. Then i send them away too, in different directions. AND IT MIGHT SOUND VERY SILLY, but it worked! And that is all that matters when these things get in between me and my life. Don't judge me! But I thought it might help some of you all too <3
