...See more Hi, so me and my boyfriend broke up around a month ago and we broke up on good terms. We still tell each other we love each other and we miss each other and we still talk everyday. I asked him if eventually we could work things out between us and get back together because things seem to be going well and he said no because he’s tired of losing people. He’s lost a lot of people in his life and he’s scared of losing me and so he said he’s protecting himself so that won’t happen but he also brought up his ex. His ex died in a car crash while they were still together and he told me that his heart still goes out to her and he said no matter what he’s loyal and can’t love anyone else like he loved her. He keeps apologizing and saying that he can’t give me the love that he’s supposed to and I don’t know what to do with all of this. I’m not mad at him at all because I have also lost a lot of people and I don’t get close to people either because I’m afraid they will leave or die so I understand where he's coming from. He’s the first person I’ve ever gotten close with and he’s the first person I truly love so I don’t wanna move on because apart of me still feels like we can work. We talked about making this work and it was working and we still love each other but also I feel like he still isn’t over his ex. I can’t blame him for not being over her I understand completely I’m not upset or mad at him. I do feel like maybe I was just a distraction for him, just a rebound, but I felt like he really truly loved me and I feel like he still does just not as much as he loved her. I really don’t wanna move on I really think this can work it was working and we already had plans for him to come up here to live with me. I don’t wanna move on but I really don’t know how to move on. Apart of me knows he’s not over his ex but also apart of me still thinks this can work I have no idea what to do. I wanna help him overcome this and I want his to realize that we doesn’t have to be alone his whole life and not everyone is gonna leave him but I don’t know how to help him or how to get him to realize that. I’m hoping that if I get him to realize that we can be back together but also I just want him to realize that so he won’t be alone for the rest of his life he’s a really good guy and anybody will be lucky to have him. He doesn’t deserve to be alone. I just genuinely don’t know what to do or how to help him I need help.
