I am a recovering neurotransmitter addict---a now-medicated bipolar recipient overcoming the delusional joys of severe manias, depression and psychosis.
I understand domestic violence all too clearly. I overcame the situations.
I was the child of a neglectful, depressed alcoholic stepfather and an enabling mother.
I was sexually abused as a child, which also happened to manifest into my adulthood. It can be stopped.
I am in recovery. I now also receive intramuscular injections on a monthly basis. i take the lifesaving anti-psychotic which I so strongly (and ignorantly) avoided for decades.
I am a lover of life. I love human beings.
I am a mother of teenagers.
