...See more hey everyone, i would like to ask you all about your experiences and honest opinions on birth control pills. I like the idea of not having to worry about being pregnant, but i hate the idea of artificially altering my mind and body with hormones, and i feel like it is a very unfair system, that i have to take it every day and i'm not even having sex every day...it might sounds stupid but that is how i feel. It feels very unnatural to me, and i know that mood swings are a possible side effect and i'm already very prone to mood swings without taking any hormones...and i'm sick of everyone acting like screwing up the way your body works is the best invention ever. my mom told me "be happy that you won't soak your bed with blood" meaning that i'll have lighter periods (which aren't even real periods at all which also freaks me out) but i am supposed to soak my bed and panties with blood i mean it is a part of being who i am, and a part of being a woman. and i'm just so afraid of the side effects, mainly the ones that can affect my mind. sorry for the long rant, anyway, what i'd like to know if you are / ever went on the pill, what is it like? what side effects you experienced, and for how long? and how do you generally feel about it? did it make your life better? worse? and why? i'm a cis girl turning 22 in a few months, and in a relationship. thank you in advance for everyone who is willing to help me.
