...See more I'm not sure where to start so I guess I'll start from the beginning. Sorry for the oversharing but I guess that's kinda what this is for. I'm just gonna start by saying that I'm not sure if any of this is considered traumatic because it's not as bad as other people experience. So my mom and biological father aren't together and they haven't been since I was a toddler. He doesn't talk to us much and i haven't seen him for at least 5 years. So when i was about 5 my mom met my stepdad which I'll call H. So everything was fine for awhile and I became a daddy's girl. It was odd going from having only my mom and siblings to having a man you can call dad and he calls you his daughter. I was so happy that i guess i made excuses for what he did until almost high school. I'm not sure when it first happened but I should have seen his violent streak. He fought my uncle on Christmas one year and i remember having my first panic attack. I was maybe 6. Well soon after (maybe a few months) he turned that violence toward my mom. I was so scared every time but afterwards i would forgive him because he was my dad. Every night i can remember hearing my mom's body slam against the wall. I didn't sleep well during those years. I remember in the third grade i started gaining a lot of weight and lost most of my friends. In the summer before 4th grade my mom had enough.
