I am a compassionate man who likes to support others and receive support. My hobbies include reading self help books, meditation, playing piano and guitar. I have Asperger’s and OCD, but I try to do things that will nourish and soothe myself and help others too.

My coop abuses people with mental disabilities

...See more I am upset and need some support because my neighbor who I am friendly with, told me how the coop abuses him. They make threatening phone calls where they threaten to burn his apartment down and hurt him. They threaten his sister who lives a distance away that they will harm both off them. She has cancer. They bang on his ceiling all night so he can’t sleep. All of this is the more disturbing because they threatened me and my family with similar things. They get rogue cops and emergency service people involved in harassing and putting people in mental hospitals and even killing some people and our so called liberal district attorneys cover up even premeditated acts of violence. I live in NYC. The cops have been more respectful lately but hearing his story brought back trauma for me and made me angry that this is being allowed to happen. Any help would be appreciated.

...See more I have been harassed at my apartment complex for as long as I have lived here and that is twenty years. I have been threatened with violence and have been assaulted, The board moves in people to harass me to get me to move. They told the guards to cover up my complaints and lie to the police and say so I am suicidal and threaten to kill people. It is they that threaten to beat me up and kill me. They tell neighbors to harass me, bang on me, threaten me with violence and assault me. They threaten me with eviction and fines. Some of the neighbors and board knew police and had them put me in a mental hospital after they had neighbors threaten me with violence. One of my neighbors went to my mother’s apartment probably to harm her because he claimed that “she kept us from being friends”. He was mad because she told me not to give him money that he tried to extort from me. I was so called befriended by another man who told me to go to a YMHA and they had an emergency service officer with a gun there and the women who worked there taunted me hoping I was say something back so he could falsely shoot me because he was told I am a pedophile. People in the community threaten to beat up because they were told that I was touching children. This story was fabricated by former next door neighbor because he wanted me to move out. He also repeatedly threatened me with violence and falsely told police I was suicidal and threatening to kill people to get me put on a mental hospital. I am exhausted and can’t trust people because they have people pretend to be my friend and then make trouble for me. Help.

...See more I’m grateful for my past mistakes because they have made me into the person I am now today. I now realize that complaining is a waste of time. I realize that I need to reach out to others and speak respectfully to have others treat me respectfully. I realize that it is useless to entertain negative obsessive thoughts and that it is better to thank them for trying to protect me and either reframe them into something positive or change my focus to something productive or relaxing. Resisting my thoughts or bargaining with them only reinforces them. It is only a thought habit and is not me. I realize that when stressed I need to take a few deep breaths and ground myself.

...See more Hi I am new to this group. I was wondering does anybody make unusual associations to things that cause anxiety for them and that lead to anxiety when confronted with those things also? I have long felt insecurity anout the appearance of my hair on my head and then started getting anxiety noticing other people’s hairstyles and then even got anxious about their initials. Can anyone relate to this?
