...See more but that's the best way to describe how I feel. My anxiety is so bad that I can't sleep, I can't think straight, I don't feel like eating, I'm extremely nervous over everything. My stomach is in knots. I've never felt like this before. There doesn't seem to be an end in sight. I've taken OTC sleeping pills, and herbs for anxiety, neither have worked. I feel like my brain is being stretched thin to the point of breaking...and I'm heading to work this morning. I'm a truck driver, so this is really bad. I've been off for 6 weeks after gallbladder and hernia surgery, but since leaving the hospital, I haven't been able to shake this feeling of anxious dread. It's slowly been notching up over the weeks. I went back to work 2 weeks after the surgery, and I had a panic attack in my sleeper berth, so I decided to take an extended medical leave. I've pushed it as far as I can go. Can surgery cause these types of symptoms? Is there some kind of post surgical trauma? This is just completely insane. I've been up for going on 2 days, with only minutes of dozing. Even when I dozed off, I woke up 10 minutes later, and I felt like I immediately was having a panic atack. I shot straight up and haven't been able to calm down. I think I'm getting physical symptoms from the stress as well, like stomach pain, headaches, sharp pains in my side, etc. It doesn't help that I don't have any social support network. I have my dad, but he has his own thing, but I have no friends to turn to nor anybody to talk to about this. I've been socially isolated for 25 years and my job is a socially isolating type of job. I feel like I'm going to have a mental crash if I can't steady my mental state.
