...See more I’ve been going to this one coffee shop near me for almost a year. I liked going there to read and to get out of the house back when I was working barely any hours at my job. I kind of made it into a safe space for myself, and as I started to go there regularly a few times a week, either alone or with a friend, the employees there started to remember me. One of them being a really kind, nice and unfortunately cute barista. And now I’ve been crushing on said barista for like 6 months. I doubt he'd ever really reciprocate, he's really pretty and to out it nicely, I'm not exactly in the same league as him. I don't really crush on people easily, but he made me feel seen. That's what screwed me over. I just can't seem to let go of the crush when I'm still stupidly holding onto the ’what if’ against my will. Especially since back when I still could talk to my friends about this, they said that there might be some interest from his side as well, based on the things I told them about, but I just… I don't know. I don't think there ever has been, and that was just my friends trying to be supportive since I don't really get interested in people like this. Anyway. I just need to get this out of my chest. Maybe find someone to talk to about this. Have someone neutral tell me if I should just drop this whole thing.
