...See more How much emotional support should I expect from a partner? I'm a very emotional person and I want to be able to share my emotions with my boyfriend. But he feels a lot of empathy for me and that makes him feel really bad to hear about my negative emotions and it's easy for him to get overwhelmed by my emotions and feel bad for the rest of the day, even if I feel better. I don't want to cross his boundaries and be too needy, but hiding my emotions usually makes me feel worse. We also live together and I can't just avoid him until I work through a big feeling. How much support is it reasonable to ask for and at what point am I asking for too much? What can I do to make this situation easier on both of us? Thank you in advance for your advice ❤️
