...See more Hey guys! I initially joined 7 Cups in 2017 and was active for a few months, but I took a 6 year hiatus because my mental health was getting worse very quickly. After seeking treatment I rediscovered this site and decided to come back; I remembered just how much everybody here helped me out. A little bit about me: I am currently in college; outside of academics, I participate in choral singing, archery, and community service. I also enjoy crossword puzzles, listening to music, and playing Nintendo games (specifically Kirby :D). I have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), social anxiety disorder, and possibly depression as well; I intend to seek support and offer support to the best of my ability. I'm glad to be back, and I hope I can get a chance to meet some of you :)

...See more I just took my sheets out of the dryer, folded them, and put them away, and now I feel like crying. Freshly dried sheets feel warm, and that warmth comforts me. But it also reminds me of the warmth I'm not getting from other people, and it hurts. I've been lonely for longer than I should be and it's slowly starting to eat at me. I wonder if it'll always feel like this. Do things get better? Will I ever know?

Anxiety about the future

...See more Anyone else have an inability to visualize the future? I've noticed that I have trouble thinking about my future plans, to the point that it stresses me out a lot. I often feel as though I'm expected to have some kind of general idea of what I want to do (because everyone else does, right?), and I always feel uncomfortable when talking about my future because I just don't know what it looks like for me. Does anyone else feel like this too? If so, what are some ways to mitigate it/come to terms with it?

...See more Hello. I just joined this community, but I only think I have BPD. I haven't been diagnosed, but I have done research myself and drawn parallels between my actions and the symptoms. I haven't self-diagnosed, because I know how dangerous that is. I've been trying to navigate this world, but it isn't easy. When people don't know about you, they always think you're crazy and emotional. At least, that's what I think others think of me. How do I live in this world and accept myself when I know others won't?
