Did you ever revisit after a bit of healing?
Relationship Stress / by communicativePenny8057

...See more Hello! I’m looking specifically for opinions form guys over 30 pls. So here is the deal, my ex was a literal minegold. Our relationship was great, we didn’t always communicate when needed but always caught up. Everything was always a conversation, never a fight. We love (d?) each other deeply, and we wanted to start building a life together. He never played games and was really always honest, he expressed often how he envisioned our future together. I think the equilibrium of our relationship got a little disturbed last summer, his family was going through a lot and I think he internalized a lot of that. He kind of started to be distant, nothing too alarming but I guess enough to trigger my need for validation. I got a little antsy about marriage and kids, but we still had meaningful conversations and the bottom line was always that we wanted to built that future together. Honestly fall was *** for both of us. But our relationship was still good. This February we had a serious conversation about the future and he told me that he had doubts that he was always thinking worst case scenarios and overall described anxiety snd depression. I said that my priority was his health and well-being snd that he should reach out for help. He got signed up for therapy and started a month ago. Then 2 weeks ago, something triggered him, he freaked out, and that same day decided to break up with me. He said he needed time on his own, he was scared he couldn’t give me what I wanted and that he didn’t want to hurt me more He started moving out shortly after that. We had talked about marriage 2 days before and had just had a bit of breakthrough honestly. To say this was abrupt is an understatement. He usually moves very slowly in decisions. Nobody around me can believe it. We were together 3 years. I've also never seen him so upset and in obvious pain, he is safe and cared for where he is, but it’s obvious he felt he was sparing me. We’re been no contact since then and from the last contact we had it looks like he is working on himself. Right now im working on me. I know whatever happens, I should be my own priority, but I would still want to hear from your perspective. But, if you’ve been through something similar situation, did you revisit the relationship after a bit of healing?

How to allow an Ex coming back the right way

...See more This is a hypothetical exercise to show myself that he will never do it right, that I deserve better and that I owe it to myself to move on. I’m journaling a lot and I want all the things that may leave my mind the minute he looks at me to be written black on white. BUT, when Mr wrong walks off saying he doesn’t think you’re a right fit, but then comes back, what would show you real change? What conditions would you set?
