Bio
I am a 17-year-old graduate student working toward my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For my graduate clinical internship, I work primarily with children and adolescents. In my free time, I like to read, write short stories, make bracelets, do my nails and makeup, and hang out with friends. I'm at church at least three nights a week and the talent I wish I had is a singing ability.
I'm passionate about using my own unique experiences to help people. I have lived experience supporting family members struggling with mental health issues, including addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and suicidal thoughts. Having a mom, dad, or sibling going through those things can be hard, and it puts a lot of pressure on us to be strong and always be "okay" around our families. In my life, I have been blessed with friends and mentors I can be "not okay" with, and I want to be that support for someone else. I can't make things better (even though I wish I could), but I can listen, offer support, and be that safe person it's okay to be not okay with.
(If you're a teenager in college or graduate school, I know what that's like, too, and I would love to help you navigate the joys and challenges of that very unique experience!)
