...See more Hi everyone! I am new to this section of 7cups and am looking for a community or some people who can chat with me and help me through some challenges I am facing. I am a 25 year old woman who has been in a relationship and now marriage with a man for 8 years now. We met and were together for 4 years before we got married and have been married for four years now. I have always known I wasn’t straight. Always. I had all the signs of being attracted other females. I never had an interest in dating anyone in school as I was dealing with other mental health issues at the time. I never explored it physically. But I knew I was attracted to women and being around or pursued by men felt validating, but uncomfortable. I pushed those feelings away when I met my now husband because we got along really well. He made me feel special and loved and it was very validating to be wanted and have a man be attracted to me. But something has always been missing. It feels like an act for anything beyond friend behavior. He’s my best friend, he really is, but now that I’m older and exploring myself more I have come to the conclusion that I might actually be a lesbian. It explains everything. I would love a community of others or even just one friend who I can talk to who understands what I’m going through. So I can talk to someone about all the signs and obvious feelings that I’ve had through my life and through the years of being with a man so that I can actually say it and get that understanding. I cannot talk to anyone in my personal life about this. I just can’t. I need to be able to talk to someone though so I can process these emotions and feelings, this discovery about myself.
