I just wanted to make sure that people who have been diagnosed with a disorder that will result in losing your voice are aware that you can create a synthesized voice that sounds like your own. The process is called voice banking. If and when the time comes to use a speech generating device to communicate, you'll be able to use a voice that sounds very similar to your own.  I've done a lot of research on the topic, so feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
