...See more im 23 and I’ve never went to therapy or been diagnosed with any mental illness or disorders or anything before. Going to therapy or a counselor was very taboo in my culture and family and it meant something is severely wrong with you. I’m older now and live alone and I have good insurance but I just don’t know where to start with a therapist. I feel like I have such strong symptoms of ADHD but I don’t know which kind. I would like to talk to a psychiatrist but the good ones in my area don’t take my insurance. And all the other ones are pretty bad with ratings. I can’t pay out of pocket because I can’t exactly afford it. But I have such low low energy levels, i get over stimulated so easily, I can walk into a room and forget what I wanted to get for about 30-50 seconds before I force myself into remembering. I get lazy to do my every day chores and sometimes it’s hard for me to do my skincare, and maybe it sounds gross but even hard for me to brush my teeth in the morning when I wake up. I don’t feel depressed, however I suck at stress management and I have a hard time focusing on anything else in my life like a project or work if I know my house is dirty. My house isn’t super dirty but just 4-7 dirty dishes, unfolded laundry, dirty clothes on floor, soda cans and water bottles, etc. it’s not like a hoarder house it’s just that I grew up where cleaning and being super organized was the only acception with my mom and she knocked some kinda super clean ocd ?? Into me. So when I know the house isn’t clean yet I have no energy to get up and do it and I don’t have the mental drive…. I can’t focus on anything else. I feel motivated some days and get it all done in a little bit of time. But then I feel bad again days later and I linger. My main energy is that I’m always, always tired. I do have a vitamin D deficiency but I’m taking prescription vitamin d from a doctor now so maybe when I finish the prescription I’ll feel better. But I’ve taken it 4 times already and I’m supposed to finish 12 pills and it’s 50k milligrams. I’m supposed to feel better by now energy wise but I don’t… I’m always tired I barely wanna see friends bc of my mental battery and for Mother’s Day tomorrow I’m staying home even tho my friends and their moms and my cousins will be together Tomorrow. :( I’m just lost on where to start. I don’t think I need to Talk talk but I do want a psychiatrist opinion and maybe medicine to manage bc I hear it helps a lot. Sigh
