What to do for fulfillment

...See more Hi all, I'm dealing with chronic fatigue for quite some time. I have adapted my life to it and I've been strategizing to keep my head over water. Like giving me medium term purposes that I pursue, studying. And a routine that allows for balanced activity and rest. I'm going to have exams by the end of September. Now I review my life and it isn't really fulfilling. So since I have my deadline by the end of September I'm thinking about doing something else. Maybe traveling or visiting some more fulfilling environments. Or pursuing something fulfilling. ... so I'm asking you guys if you have and suggestions or ideas. I feel i need to get out of this routine of studying and strategizing my life. Any suggestions are appreciated 😊🙏

...See more Tired again. No more movement again. Just recovery. A body in bed, A mind in exile, a soul in nursery. No need to be bold. No way to bolt. It catches up with me And puts me in a stranglehold. Just hoping for solace, Energy and life and essence Balanced In some shady eternity.

Starting all over?

...See more Hi all, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm having long covid since February 2022. Chronic fatigue, neuropathies, cognitive impairments. While I've learned to ease this condition a bit with good nutrition, it seems like it keeps staying. I've been very active before, I loved running, traveling, long distance hikes, martial arts. I'm teacher of internal martial arts and qi gong ... I just can't teach anymore. I spend most of my time in bed, apart from grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. Those activities are about what I can do without crashing. When I crash my nervous system goes in shut down, mind is overwhelmed, body aches and I need to shut out sensory input. It can take a few days to get out of that. Doctors don't know what's going on. Since blood tests read ok they suggest it's depression. I'm tired of explaining that the symptoms are physiological and a depressed mood is a result of this debilitating condition. I'm not depressed, I know how much effort I put in maintaining and planning so that I don't get overwhelmed and crash. I also started a course in cranio sacral therapy just to stay engaged. It's one weekend per month, I can manage. After that I need three to four days of rest. I have the impression that I have to start my life all over. New me, new occupation, new friends, new everything. Unfortunately this condition isolates me because even talking to people can induce tiredness. The social contact I have is the course once a month. And on 7cups. Thank you guys 🙏

Different kinds of listeners

...See more Hello listeners, I hope this topic will be helpful for all listeners, those who are starting out and the intermediates. The advanced listeners might know what I'm talking about. I'm going through some difficult times and I've been reaching out to 7cups listeners for some listening support. I used the connect button and was talking to random listeners. I was surprised how little most of them actually listened. They didn't ask much about my situation and even less how I was feeling. Some tried to build a connection by using interpretations, others seemed to be in a hurry. And almost all of them were giving me some advice, like "just distract yourself, be positive, things will be ok again" etc. It didn't seem like any of them were really listening, understanding what I was going through, understanding how I felt. In the beginning I reacted with anger, because I wanted some understanding and didn't get it. I was also getting annoyed writing my story down again for just seeing the chat ending up in some advive-giving, ... again. Thinking logically I realized that I can't expect much from a random listener. I appreciate that they try and maybe in some time they will become better and then great listeners that really can help through conveying understanding. So I changed the strategy and browsed for a listener and I've quickly found an experienced one who had time to chat and listen to me. What a relief and joy it was to talk to that person! A listener who listened, who asked about the situation I'm in, who asked about my feelings and about what I wanted. Somebody who gave me the space to express myself and who showed empathy for how I felt. When that happens, that empathy which reaches the heart, that in itself can lead to healing. That listener touched my heart with understanding, empathy and space. Thank you. I hope that this post is helpful to listeners, showing how listening can really be of help. And to all members that need a quality listener I highly suggest to use the browse listener option and find a person that has listening experience. All the best
