...See more Right now, I’m stuck in a vicious cycle. I have this best friend for 12 years and currently I’m stuck whether to continue or to end the friendship. Backstory. Because of the way she got into a relationship, it caused me to have depression and a lot of the times, it can be any innocuous things she said or did that trigger an episode. I know this friendship is currently toxic for my mental health. But it’s 12 years of friendship. I’m stuck between letting go of the friendship for my mental health and keeping the friendship and letting the vicious cycle continue. It may seem like a no brainer but it’s hard to let go of the friendship and not to mention I’m super bonded to her dog as well. So much so that I treat her dog as mine.

...See more You know how every single advice is to to reach out to your friends or family when you’re in an episode? What do you tell them? I have problem reaching out because I don’t know what to tell them. It always felt like I’m saying the same thing over without anything really actually being done. like now, I’m currently in an episode which revolve mainly around the worthlessness of life. How do I reach out to someone who can actually help instead of telling me everything will be okay

...See more My best friend and I have been rocky since the start of the year and events transpired. In short, currently I do have depression and today, we tried to communicate again because I was told that I lack communication. Now that we have communication, nothing seems to be better and I’m currently stuck in my depressive episode and I need help. Ever since she has changed her job and gotten into a relationship, she has changed. I understand people do change and I have been desperately wanted to accept the change. However, I’m finding it hard to do so because of my depression. I tend to overthink and get stuck in a never ending loop when I’m having my episode. I need help in managing and coping. How do I do that? I do want to save the friendship but looking at the way things are progressing, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be possible unless I get a better hold of my depression.

...See more Currently, I’m in depressive episode which started last Sat. Although my issue with my best friend is solved, I’m still not recovering from the episode. Right now, there’s no trigger or whatsoever. How do you deal with being in this state all the time? There’s nothing to talk to anyone about. There’s no particular feeling I’m having at all. I’m just generally down all the time, no appetite and tired permanently. What should I do?

...See more Although everything is alright now and I should feel happy, but I’m not. The okay feeling only lasted a day, on Monday. But Tuesday onwards, the not okay feeling came back and nothing triggered it. As usual, I started overthinking and lost my appetite. I’m just exhausted by the unpredictability of these depressive episode.
