Introvert who wants to make friends

...See more I recently started college, causing me to be away from all previous friends I had. The trouble I'm having is with making making new friends. Some obstacles arise when you take into account that I'm a literal 10-0 introvert (Myers-Briggs) and have an incredibly timid personality. What are some ways/places I can make friends without actively initiating a conversation?
