I am an 85 year old woman disabled by Spinal Stenosis which has made walking more than around my studio apartment impossible. I live alone in assisted living for hundreds of old folks with all sorts of issues. I need a wheelchair and someone to push it when I go to medical appointments or anywhere else (which I don’t do). I am a hermit, don’t leave my apartment, get groceries delivered weekly, choose not to go to activities offered, to no meals with others. I’m hard of hearing which makes conversations difficult. My kids don’t live in the same state, most grandchildren out of state except one who takes me to occasionally to doctor and dentist.

I thank my lucky stars for my huge TV and my old reliable IPhone which I stay on all day with Google AI online learning. I am constantly learning about my body, my needs (a humidifier recently after 3 years of dry air), and my phone which is SO complicated.

This site is my first attempt at talking with other people who share online.

Sometimes I wonder why I’m still here, old, disabled, kids grown and doing better than I ever did. Reaching out for social support.

Still confuse about getting around on this site…hope to learn.
