How to make friends in adult life

...See more Hi, Im new to this group but eager to get some advice and hopefully peace of mind as well. Feeling lonely has always been a very tough emotion for me to handle. In recent months, I couldve used a present friend for a lot of reasons but I struggle with loneliness due to friendships existing outside of my state and being in a long term relationship with an active duty military soldier. The one friend I do (did) have that lives 5 minutes from me hasnt really reciprocated with me on trying to see each other more often. Her life is busy but I still find it hard to come to terms with being so busy that one is unable to schedule something as simple as a coffee grab. Anyway, you can see how my options are limited as I do not have many present friends or friends that I can just meet up with on a whim. My question is, do you have any tips or suggestions on how to ykno just meet friends as an adult who is out of school and currently working a job that does not interact with many people? Id love to hear personal experiences and suggestions. I hate feeling lonely or relying on a fixed number of people too much. P.s - sorry for the long post, just wanted to cover my bases as much as I could.
