...See more Hello everyone. I have been living abroad for 5 years. Living here brought many challenges at the beginning, especially legal and uncertain processes. While dealing with all of this, I continued seeing my therapist online and I was diagnosed with anxiety. I’m not sure if my existing worries and anxiety disorder turned into clinical anxiety or if something else developed. During this uncertain period, my therapist told me this was normal, and I normalized it too. But now I don’t want to be someone who has anxiety or an anxiety disorder anymore. I want to have a healthy mindset. What should I do? Health anxiety has been especially hard for me lately. I often wake up at night with the feeling that I’m suffocating in my sleep. Is it because of my reflux? My allergies? My chronic asthma? Could the bad and rainy weather and humidity be the cause? Or is it anxiety? I experienced something similar before, and my doctor prescribed a medication similar to an anxiety/muscle relaxant and it helped. However, I don’t really want to use medication, but maybe I am at a point where I need it — I’m not sure. What should I do? Thanks * Gatinha
