Gaming my way through anxiety

...See more I'm a guy who tends to suffer a bit of social anxiety, which might be part of an overall anxiety disorder. Sometimes it's downright impossible to think about a task without being paralyzed by the fear of it going wrong. So what I do nowadays, as often as I can to try overcoming my anxiety, is to treat life like a video game. As an amateur gamer, I know the importance of gaining experience through challenges/battles/puzzles/etc., to grow as a character. Similarly, when I have to work on my master's project, or talk to a girl I like, I think of it as a task that gives me experience, which contributes to making me less anxious as a person. Doing such a thing can also count as my achievement of the day, which relieves my anxiety, and gives me a bit more confidence for the future. What about you all? What are some of the ways you deal with any anxiety problems?

...See more Hi everyone! I'm new here, joined this very month. I don't exactly have problems making friends, but I have a habit of repeatedly getting anxious about whether or not they like spending time with me, or they're just tolerating me out of politeness. It prevents me from getting to just relax and enjoy the time I spend with them. Anybody else faces this problem? And how do you deal with it?
