...See more I've been debating for months about whether or not to reach out to a therapist, and of course things haven't gotten better on their own. It's nice reading through threads like this and seeing I'm not alone, but how do you all deal? I'm working a job I hate in a town I can't stand, with no friends here and very little family near me. I've found it so hard to keep any focus or stay positive. The only thing keeping me from drifting into a darker place is my boyfriend of 3 years. I was hoping he and I would've left here a while ago, but things kept popping up, and to be honest I had expected to have been married or engaged by now too, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon. I understand he needs to be ready, I just have issues seeing everyone I know hit these milestones like getting married, buying a house, and filling it with pets and children.. while my life is plateauing so close to 30. I feel stuck and drained of any motivation I might have had to keep things moving here. Help?
