Hi! I'm glad you found me on 7 cups of Tea. I am a verified active listener. I'm best with anxiety, depression, and self harm issues. I don't talk about sexual issues. Other than that, I love books, hiking, my little siblings, and my friends. My life goal is to teach middle school English! :)

...See more Okay guys, new question. What is one thing you like about yourself? It can be something tiny - like maybe your eyes or your smile, or the fact that for some reason you're just really really good at driving or making coffee or something like that. For me, I think it is that I'm a good teacher, even though I feel like depression would make that impossible.
What is the kindest thing someone who knows about your depression has done for you?

...See more I always love hearing stories about when people are actually kind and help other people out in the midst of this cloud of darkness. Do some of you have stories you can share? For me, my roommate last year knew that I was self-harming, and one time she realized I had been cutting because I was in the shower forever. She was waiting for me when I came out and insisted on having me sit down and bandaging the cuts up and then just holding me while I cried. It was probably the most comforting thing in the world and it helped me to want to get better.
