I love listening to people. Any problem or issue you might have, I just want to make sure I'm supporting you in what you're going through.
To let you know a little more about me: I love reading. In fact, reading has gotten me through most of the difficult situations in my life. Just in case you want some words to help you through a hard time, here are some of my favorites:
- "Before you can say 'I love you,' you must first learn to say 'I'"
- "You loved a man who treated you like absinthe; half poison and half god. He tried to sweeten you, to water you down. So you left. And no you have your heart all to yourself again. A heart like a stone cottage. Heart like a lover's diary. Hope like an ocean."
- “It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them. I was so preposterously serious in those days…Lightly, lightly—it’s the best advice ever given me. So throw away your baggage and go forward. There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That’s why you must walk so lightly. Lightly, my darling.”
-“You are allowed to fail without being a failure. You are allowed to make mistakes without becoming one. More opportunities will present themselves, you will find hope again.”
And the world didn’t crumble.
I owe the universe a dollar”
- “Do not act as if you were going to live ten thousand years. Death hangs over you. While you live, while it is in your power, be good.”
-“So when people leave, I’ve learned the secret: let them. Because, most of the time, they have to. Let them walk away and go places. Let them have adventures in the wild without you. Let them travel the world and explore life beyond a horizon that you exist in. And know, deep down, that heroes aren’t qualified by their capacity to stay but by their decision to return.”
