Recovering from abusive relationship

...See more Me and my bf of 3 years were having constant arguments for few weeks about his career and some tiny things about our relationship. One night when i blocked him he spam called me several times middle of night not letting me sleep. I got annoyed so thought to sort things out face to face. We met the next morning and were talking things out. We started arguing and i said maybe u don’t love me and i said it was abusive and toxic of him to bother me continuously at night even though i begged him to stop. He suddenly slapped me. 3 years of realtionship just flashed through me. Those lovey dovey things he said and all the gifts he gave. He was supposed to be my safe space and he raised his hand. I was speechless and very much scared. I’m actually sensitive to anger. He knew it. Then I ran back home ended the realtionship. Next morning again 8 missed calls continuously when I answered the next call he said i deserved to be slapped because apparently i said he didn’t love or care for me but he did because i was wrong i deserved to be slapped. Now everytime i think of that incident i start to shake. I’m scared and trying to be strong.
