...See more I’m 50, and finding it hard to explain my issues to people half my age. Looking for a patient listener who can deal with depression, anxiety, panic, etc. Someone down to earth who believes in science. Dark sense of humor a plus. I could really use a pen pal. Thank you.

...See more First of all, let me say right off the bat that any of my complaints are, I know, only a tiny thing compared to getting off harder drugs. However, I’m still suffering. I’m 50 years old, suffered from anxiety and depression my whole life. Antidepressants haven’t helped. Therapy hasn’t helped. Mindfulness has only helped a little. Weed has been my best friend for years. But during the pandemic, my use has reached ridiculous levels. Now I’m trying to cut back, to taper off. But the result has been constant anxiety, poor sleep, digestive problems, frequent panic attacks, and overall exhaustion. Again, I’m sorry to those who are really sick, I know my situation isn’t as bad. But I still feel pretty miserable. If anyone else here has gone through this, I would REALLY appreciate a quick word of solidarity. Many thanks.

...See more As a 50 year old, I’m finding it difficult to relate to most of the listeners here, who seem to be teenagers on average. I use the iPhone app, and I can search for listeners who are over 18 pretty successfully, but I’m not finding anyone close to my own age. Any suggestions? Thank you.

...See more I’m Michael, 50. Anxious and depressed for all of my life. Antidepressants didn’t fix it. Therapy didn’t fix it. Mindfulness didn’t fix it. Marijuana helped, but now I’m trying to taper off of it and getting panic attacks all the time. Tired. Wish we could all get a vacation.
