Hello, I am a registered nurse who has recently switched to night shifts. I entered nursing because, when I was a child, I was diagnosed with leukemia. My doctors were great, but the nurses left a lasting impression on me. Being able to impact someone's life meaningfully is no small feat, and I am proud of my career.
I maintain a full nocturnal schedule, as it helps me stay awake during my shifts. This routine has provided me with extra time, which I would like to dedicate to strengthening my skills in therapeutic communication, as well as helping people in need of someone to listen. I enjoy listening to others and value emotional safety. I would like to continue to build my listening skills.
