...See more When you hear hurtful words from others or see behavior you don’t like, what God has told me is: “That was that person’s best.” Even if you don’t like it, you can’t change or control someone else’s actions, thoughts, or words. Just as you won’t always be pleasing to them, they won’t always be pleasing to you. We are not here to satisfy people, but to live in a way that brings glory to God. So then, what is your best in this situation? It’s not about falling into despair or discouragement. Do your best in the reality you’re in. Don’t keep pushing yourself alone toward something you already know won’t work. Entrust what you cannot do to God and seek His will. “God, through this difficulty, what do You want me to learn?” He is not someone who brings disaster into your life. He wants you to live, and He is the one who heals you. He wants you to rely not on people, but on Him alone. Don’t place expectations on people, and don’t be disappointed by them. Even if everything doesn’t go the way you want, perhaps He is trying to show you what it is that He wants to accomplish in your life.
