Weird feeling I can't name...
Bipolar, Schizophrenia & Psychosis Support / by karleec

...See more Ok so I have bipolar II disorder and every now and then I get in this mood where I have so much pent up energy but I'm not interested in doing anything, so I feel stuck and frustrated and irritated. I don't know what it is or if there's a name for it. Does anyone get this way? Like I was going to go up to the store to get out of the house, but I don't want to do anything but I need to do something. I don't know how else to describe it. It's like someone shook up a can of soda but there's no way to get all the fizz out. This is literally the worst feeling next to my days when I'm super super down and I don't know how to handle it. Thanks.

Issues with psychiatrist
Depression Support / by karleec

...See more Hello everyone! I don't feel like my psychiatrist is listening to me. I keep telling her I want to come off some meds because I don't think they're helping, and I really want to move on and try to get better without so many medications. I've tried several, and I want to see if coming off the one I've been on for over year can help. This is the longest depressive episode I've ever had, and I'm concerned a part of it is due to the meds. I have zero motivation or drive, and I feel like I'm missing out on college (I graduate soon). Whenever I try to bring this up with her, she somehow decides to just add another medication to the list of current ones I already have. I understand there are issues surrounding coming off antidepressants, but I don't see why I can't try. And honestly, I'm going to come off the medications with or without her approval eventually. Has anyone had any issues with their doctor like this? And have any of you had luck getting them to listen more? As of right now, she just won't even hear it or consider it.
