Bio

Hi! My name is Katie Green, and I’m a psychology major at Bucknell University. I’ve been interested in psychology since I was young, and I’m excited to keep learning as much as I can. My goal is to become a supportive and effective helper, even as I continue exploring which specific path I want to pursue within the field.

I’m from Wellesley, Massachusetts, and I love being on the East Coast. I have two sisters—my twin and an older sister who’s five years older than me. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks, spending time outside, writing, listening to music, shopping, and hanging out with friends and family.

...See more two sets of limbs hanging low  too drained to stand  torsos slouched, resting against cold granite  fingers running through the dirt  reaching to where life is no longer  wondering if life ever was  dying to preserve a parasitic bond,  ignoring its ability to eat me alive–  hungry, hollow, unseen,   leaching into every corner of my mind  as I hold on for dear life, grasping   the edge of a hole dug five feet deep rumination like a dusty red worm mocking me as it coils through dark, damp soil–  dirt caught like lice in a fine-toothed comb,  each grain combing through every wringlet  of the worm’s wrinkled body  smirking a slithering smile  while it digs beneath the ground I walk on– the ground I fooled myself into thinking  would one day unfreeze  but when the sun still set past 8 pm  a mosquito must have beat me to you because there never was enough blood  to rush through our veins,  to raise our arms,  to entangle them around each other to flood even an ounce of  color into our cheeks– we were just two pale faces  who met under an open sky tricked into thinking we could tie our strings together. We were from the start  two lifeless bodies like two red balloons drifting apart  beneath a muted, cloudy sky  full people, filled with essentially nothing.

Quick Prompt!

...See more Hi everyone! If anyone is looking for a quick writing exercise to just get all your thoughts out I have a great one. Take an index card and use different colored markers to write sentences or words along the outside edges. Make your way in to the middle or really in any direction you want and then flip the card and continue writing over what you have already written. Once you have written enough you wont be able to actually read any of the sentences you have written. This is super freeing and helpful because you are writing it al down and getting it out but no one can read it.
