A much older -- and I'd like to believe wiser -- person with widely varied life experience, I've been married nearly 40 years and helped raise two great kids. I've been hearing people out forever offline, as a friend and relative, but also in my career as an interpreter. We are trained to listen to what people are saying and understand what they really mean. Sometimes "mhm, I see" is all you need, but a lot of people would like more active listening and support. I try to give that, and always with a sense of humor to help lighten the load.

An incredible listener, kind and attentive. Helped me walk through some complicated issues with grace and dignity, allowed me to feel heard while providing a thought-provoking push.
