Bio

As a psychology and neuroscience student, I am deeply passionate about mental health and well-being. Having studied neuropsychology, brain disorders, and therapeutic psychology, I understand the profound impact mental health challenges can have on individuals and communities. I want to use my knowledge, empathy, and communication skills to support those who need it most. Beyond my academic and professional skills, I believe in the power of kindness and community support. By volunteering, I hope to give back, raise awareness, and help create a welcoming space for those who may be struggling.

...See more The most transformationational Inner Development Goals skills for me was the perspective skill. It may not be as popular, but it has been humbling to recognize how deeply my worldview affects my decisions, emotions, and reactions.  As person with a strong sense of direction, purpose, and vision, I like things done efficiently and in alignment with my standards. For the longest time, I truly believed that my way was the most productive way. But over time, I started realizing that I was not leaving much space for collaboration, nor did I let diverse thought processes which brought varied outcomes.  Overcoming this took conscious effort. I begaing with asking more questions even when I already “thought I knew”. Just pausing to ask, “What are your thoughts on this?” Opening up so many insights. Second, I began placing myself in spaces where my views could be challenged, e.g., study groups, discussions with people from different cultures, and reflections. I also reflected on my moments when I disagreed with someone by journaling. I would reflect, “what are they seeing that I am not?”. That practice thought me that another person’s perspective can be a good resource.  I also belive it would be inspirational for me to know moments when somone else’s perspective changed their approach to a problem. It is always good to know you are not alone 😊
