Should I Get Diagnosed?

...See more So I'm pretty sure I have at least some form of depression and maybe anxiety, but I'm not sure if I want to get diagnosed. I can kind of deal with what I'm going through alone, but sometimes I feel like talking to friends isn't enough and I need a professional opinion or maybe even treatment. The only thing is, I'm worried about my future. I'm not sure if getting diagnosed will limit me in any way, if it would hinder me from getting into any colleges or getting any jobs? I also deal with a lot of people telling me I'm just self-diagnosing, and I really don't know if I actually have a mental illness or if I just have really bad days all the time. I guess I don't fully understand what I could have, and what that would mean for my future if I did have something like that? If someone could just offer their opinion, if I should get diagnosed, or if it's worth it, or if there are even any downsides at all, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much to anyone who read this whole thing lol.
